Collective Bargaining Update – October 30

The following provides an update on collective bargaining and related labour relations activities at UPEI.

UPEI Faculty Association

Conciliation with the UPEI Faculty Association continued this week, from October 28 to 30. During these meetings, the parties exchanged monetary proposals as discussions toward renewed collective agreements continued.

UPEI remains committed to constructive, good-faith bargaining and reaching agreements that are fair for employees and sustainable for the long-term health of the institution.

Additional conciliation dates are being scheduled for November 17 and 19.

Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC)

Negotiations with PSAC 86000, previously scheduled for early November, are being rescheduled to a later date, yet to be determined.
