Tentative agreement reached with CUPE 501

After negotiations on August 10–11, UPEI reached a tentative agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees 501 (CUPE 501). We want to thank both bargaining teams for their work in reaching a timely agreement and for their professionalism and respect throughout the process.

The tentative agreement with CUPE 501 is subject to ratification by both parties. Once ratified, it will form the new collective agreement between UPEI and CUPE 501.

UPEI remains committed to good-faith negotiations focused on solutions, stability, and the long-term success of our employees and the University.
