Collective Bargaining Update – July 10

As a matter of practice, the University will share bi-weekly updates to provide an overview of current progress on collective bargaining and the work underway at each table.

UPEI Faculty Association (UPEIFA)
The University met with the UPEI Faculty Association (FA 2) bargaining team on June 25, followed by meetings with the UPEI Faculty Association (FA 1) bargaining team on June 29 and 30, as negotiations toward renewed collective agreements continued.

During these meetings, the parties had constructive discussions and reached agreement on several items. Negotiations will continue at the next scheduled bargaining sessions in July.

The next bargaining dates are scheduled for July 16 and 17 with the FA 1 bargaining team, followed by July 20 and 21 with the FA 2 bargaining team.

The University appreciates the respectful and collegial approach taken by both bargaining teams and remains committed to engaging in good-faith negotiations. We will continue to provide updates to the University community as the bargaining process progresses.

CUPE 501
The University looks forward to beginning negotiations, scheduled August 10–13, 2026.

PSAC
The University looks forward to negotiations, which are scheduled to begin in September.
