Negotiations commence with UPEIFA BU #1 and BU #2

The following statement was emailed to UPEI employees on June 1, 2026. 

UPEI began negotiations on Friday, May 29, 2026, towards new collective agreements with the University of Prince Edward Island Faculty Association. Both bargaining teams met on Friday, with additional meetings scheduled through June and July.

We remain committed to respectful and constructive dialogue as we work to reach an agreement at the bargaining table that is fair for employees and sustainable for the long‑term health of our institution.
