The following message was sent to UPEI students via their @upei email accounts on behalf of UPEI Student Affairs on March 26, 2023.

Hello UPEI Students,

With the continuation of the UPEI Faculty Association strike, we are reaching out to ensure that you know we are open for service and are here to support you.

It’s also important to know that during a faculty strike—while classes, labs, instruction, etc. are suspended—the University remains open, and students are welcome to be on campus. Also, assignments, tests, quizzes, that were assigned or scheduled prior to the labour action will not be due or take place during the strike. We encourage you to continue reading, studying, and completing work so that you will be prepared to return to class when the strike ends.

This schedule of events is for the week of March 27 to 31 and all sessions are open to all UPEI students. More events will be added at a later date if needed. We will navigate this strike period together.
