Central Utility Building

“It may not be a stimulating centre of education but it is the backbone of the institution,” remarked Chief Justice C. St. Clair Trainor at the official opening of the Central Utility Building on Friday, November 24, 1972. It was the new University of Prince Edward Island’s first construction project. The building is houses the campus’ carpentry, electrical, plumbing and paint shops as well as administration offices.
