| Background: | Angela passed away August 5, 2022, just shy other 45th birthday. Despite a life too short, she left her mark on those she encountered. Born and raised in Rollo Bay, PE, Angela was a proud UPEI alumni whose career included time with both public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Angela, class of 1999, was a member of the first graduating Faculty of Business Co-Op Program. Academically sound, she sought ways to become better connected to the Faculty of Business becoming involved as the first-year rep on the Business Society. Angela was guided by integrity and loyalty and understood the tremendous value of diversity and inclusion. Through kindness and empathy, she strived to help those around her be the best versions of themselves. She was a cheerleader for the underdog, a memory maker for the many young people in her life, a dog lover who found peace walking a wooded trail on a cool, crisp day, a devoted life partner and the list goes on. During her time at UPEI she made lasting connections and friendships as evidenced by this award established by her former classmates in her memory. |
