| Background: | Ernest J. Brennan, FCPA, affectionately known to all of his friends and family as Ernie, has a long history in business, government and community relations. He held the position of Deputy Finance Minister and served as principal secretary to the Honourable Catherine Callbeck while she was Premier, held senior positions in private companies, has served as a Board Member and Finance Chair of UPEI, Co-Chair of Special Gifts Committee, QEH Foundation and, is a dedicated member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and is one of Prince Edward Island?s unsung heroes in helping his fellow Islanders. Ernie?s son, David M. Brennan, CPA, CA (UPEI BBA ?86), established this scholarship as a gift to his father for one of his milestone birthdays. |
