Assistant Professor

BSc, PhD (University of New Brunswick)

Professor Clark received his undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of New Brunswick before continuing to his PhD in natural products chemistry also at the University of New Brunswick, Canada (NSERC CGS-M and CGS-D). He recently completed a five year postdoctoral position in Dr. Roger Linington’s laboratory at Simon Fraser University (Tier 1 CRC chair in High-Throughput Screening and Natural Products Discovery) before starting his independent career in 2024 at the University of Prince Edward Island.

His research program aims to approach the topic of using HRMS based metabolomics as a tool for monitoring microbial interactions. His postdoctoral research focused on the application of mass spectrometry-based metabolomics to natural products discovery, or investigations of mass spectrometry data either as a comparison of features between different instruments or detectable chemical constitutions between different acquisition modes.
