Assistant Professor

Dr. Nina Germitsch is an assistant professor in veterinary parasitology at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island. She obtained her veterinary degree and veterinary doctorate (Dr. med. vet.) from the Vetsuisse faculty, University of Zurich, Switzerland and conducted her PhD studies at the Institute of Parasitology, University of Zurich. She is a board-certified veterinary parasitologist through the European Veterinary Parasitology College (EBVS® certified). Her current responsibilities at the Atlantic Veterinary College include research, teaching, and diagnostic duties in veterinary parasitology. Her expertise covers among others cardiopulmonary parasites of canids and felids, wildlife parasitology, and parasite proteomics.
