Assistant Professor

BEc, BA (China); MSc, PhD (Guelph)

Dr. Lena Liang is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business. She teaches courses in the areas of tourism and hospitality management, as well as marketing. Holding a PhD in Management from the University of Guelph, her research interests primarily focus on consumer behavior and marketing within the tourism and hospitality sectors.

Lena has actively contributed to several research and consultation projects, spanning topics such as tourism marketing and planning, tourists behaviors, and economic impact analysis. Her work has been published in various top tier tourism and hospitality journals.

Before joining UPEI, Lena accumulated teaching experience at the Toronto Metropolitan University, George Brown College, University of Guelph, and Shanghai Institute of Tourism. Additionally, she boasts over 8 years of hands-on experience in the tourism and hospitality industry and holds a Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA).
