The Robbins-Ollivier Award for Excellence in Equity recognizes the legacy of those who advanced equity within the Canada Research Chairs Program and Canada’s research ecosystem. Valued at $100,000, three awards are granted annually to fund bold, institution-level initiatives that challenge systemic barriers, spark meaningful change, and advance equity in academia. The award supports faculty-led projects that engage students, trainees, and underrepresented groups, while fostering innovative, long-term solutions. At UPEI, eligible faculty are invited to submit internal proposals through the Romeo Researcher Portal by October 14, 2025. As each institution may submit only one nomination, a sub-committee of the Research Advisory Committee will recommend which project moves forward to the national competition by the November 4, 2025 deadline.
