A free, in-person, two-day training for UPEI students on employability essentials, complete with labour market and effective communication workshops.

Take the opportunity this reading week to learn key information about how to navigate PEI's labour market and improve on your communication strategies and skills!

This training will feature a series of workshops from UPEI's Digital Badge Program, including:

Panthers at Home: UPEI gears up for a busy weekend

The UPEI Panthers have one of the busiest weekends of the season coming up, hosting AUS action for soccer, plus exhibition games in hockey and basketball. Here’s your Panther home schedule for the weekend of October 1–3.

The weekend kicks off tonight (Friday, October 1) with UPEI Women’s Hockey hosting Saint Mary’s University for a pre-season game on home ice. The puck drops at 7 pm in MacLauchlan Arena.

Also tonight, UPEI Women’s Basketball hosts Acadia in the Chi-Wan Young Sport Centre in pre-season action, starting at 8 pm.

Stephen Donaldson can see the benefit of UPEI’s Co-operative Education program every day. The director of research and development at Island Abbey Food Science said several of the co-op students they have taken on have since started careers with the company. 

“We have hired many students into full-time roles after graduating,” said Donaldson. “It’s a great way to find good new hires. It is also good, from the students’ perspective, to get to know the organization and know what they are signing on to.”
