PEI Bunny Hop takes place on April 8
For the third consecutive year, the UPEI Distance Running Program is managing the popular PEI Bunny Hop, which will take place on Saturday, April 8, starting at 8:30 am at Colonel Gray High School.
Since the 1970s, the Bunny Hop has been a popular road-running race on PEI and is typically considered the official start to the Island’s road-racing season. The race is a fun run through Charlottetown, with distances of 5k and 10k. The first 100 registrants receive a free Bunny Hop T-shirt. The cost is $25.

Due to the ongoing UPEI Faculty Association (FA) strike, the UPEI 2023 Summer Job and Career Fair, originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

2023 Cavendish Farms University Cup Men’s Hockey Championship a huge success
The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) Men’s Hockey Panthers hosted seven of the best amateur hockey teams in the country during the U SPORTS 2023 Cavendish Farms University Cup Men’s Hockey Championship from March 15–19, 2023, at the Eastlink Centre, Charlottetown. The event was deemed a huge success by organizers.
Clarinet quintet performances to take place on March 31 and April 8
Clarinetist Karem J. Simon will be featured in two upcoming recitals, one on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Hillcrest United Church in Montague and the other on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Charlottetown. Both performances take place at 7:30 pm.

The UPEI School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences (SMCS) held a “Pi Day” celebration on March 14, 2023. There was a good turnout of students and faculty for the celebration, which included pie eating, dressing up in math-related attire, math trivia, and the featured event—the annual SMCS Integration Tournament.
