The Faculty of Education is seeking a graduate student research assistant to assist with elementary school global competency research and resource development. The research assistant will conduct a Canada-wide literature review of best practices in integrated curriculum delivery which leads to students’ increased understanding of global competencies, critical thinking, and sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct a Systematic Literature Review
  • Prepare recommendations for future research
  • Attend research meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate student in Education or a related research discipline.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative research skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of research procedures
  • Experience in education-related research activities and training
  • Good knowledge and understanding of global citizenship issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with research/computing software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS, Excel, Zoom, online meeting tools)
  • Experiences in research team working environment
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural understanding and competency
  • Proficiency in language(s) other than English/French is desired

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
