The Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) Project Lead, provides coordination and implementation support for the University’s Strategic Enrolment Management Plan. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Students, the Project Lead works across Faculties, the Registrar’s Office, Student Supports and Services, Recruitment and Admissions, Institutional Research, Marketing and Communications, and other academic and administrative units to ensure that SEM priorities, initiatives and activities are aligned, coordinated and progressing toward established institutional goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting SEM Governance and Coordination
• Serve as operational lead supporting the Strategic Enrolment Management Steering Committee and associated sub-committees and working groups
• Evaluate the effectiveness of SEM initiatives using agreed performance measures and recommend adjustments, continuation, scaling, or discontinuation based on results
• Work closely with Faculties and academic units to translate institutional SEM priorities into faculty-level actions and support implementation of recruitment, retention, registration, and student-success initiatives
• Translate SEM strategic priorities into annual implementation plans, identifying key initiatives, deliverables, responsible units, timelines, dependencies, and measures of success
• Ensure alignment and communication between Steering Committee/SEM Task Force decisions and operational implementation across subcommittees and units
• Maintain oversight of SEM project and priority tracking, timelines, and institutional accountability structures
• Coordinate meeting cycles, documentation, and follow-up actions aligned with SEM priorities
Monitoring Implementation Progress against SEM Strategy Priorities
• Maintain a consolidated SEM implementation roadmap and performance scorecard, ensuring that responsible units report regularly on progress against agreed deliverables and KPIs
• Identify risks, gaps, and emerging issues impacting enrolment outcomes
• Support operational execution by coordinating across units responsible for implementation
• Support development of shared dashboards and institutional enrolment intelligence tools
Strategic Enrolment Planning and Advice
• Provides key planning assumptions for multi-year enrolment projections used for resource allocations
• Advises Marketing and Production, International Relations, and other relevant offices on the implementation of initiatives to achieve enrolment goals and objectives, and the overarching provincial, national, and global context
• Participates and provides advice on various internal University-wide committees involving enrolment management, recruitment, retention, admissions and student success
Institutional Enrolment Intelligence, Reporting and Evaluation
• Collaborates with Institutional Research, the Registrar's Office, and other data owners to ensure timely access to consistent and reliable enrolment information required for SEM planning and decision-making
• Develops regular SEM performance reporting and briefing materials for the Associate Vice-President, Students, SEM Steering Committee, Senate, Board of Governors, Faculties, and other institutional stakeholders
• Works with Institutional Research and the Registrar's Office to support consistent enrolment definitions, reporting methodologies, dashboards, and institutional performance measures
• Identifies information and reporting gaps and works with appropriate units to improve the University's capacity to monitor SEM performance
• Other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Completion of an appropriate post-secondary program in a relevant area with at least three (3) years of related work experience and/or a combination of education and related work experience
• A university degree in a relevant area would be considered an asset
• Previous experience working in post-secondary environment
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategy and strategic direction
• A high degree of judgment and professionalism with a strong understanding of confidentiality
• Ability to create an environment of belonging for various constituent groups
• Understands the language of Equity, Inclusion, Decolonization, Anti-racism
• Knowledge of UPEI programs, academic units, student support and student life
• Demonstrated excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
