Student Assistant - Education Learning Commons - Faculty of Education
$18.15 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
As soon as possible to April 30, 2026
The Faculty of Education is seeking one (1) undergraduate Student Assistant to work in the Education Learning Commons and Faculty.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in training for the online library system KOHA
- Assist ELC facilitator with library duties, such as finding books and resources for students
- Create and maintain Faculty of Education bulletin board displays, ELC book displays
- Create learning resource kits
- Help organize and maintain resources within the ELC
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program at UPEI, with preference given to students considering the Bachelor of Education program.
- Knowledge of PEI’s K-12 education system
- Previous experience and/or training with early years and early childhood education
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Understanding of project-based learning is considered an asset
- Experience with KOHA online library system is considered an asset
- French language skills are considered an asset
- Artistic and creative ability is considered an asset
Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
