The Health Research Network, based at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), is seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to our patient-oriented research programs within a multi-disciplinary healthcare environment. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting various projects with the Health Research Network, working closely with the Research Coordinator, faculty members, and other team members to support a variety of ongoing research projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, manuscripts, and other knowledge translation materials for publication and internal dissemination
  • Work collaboratively with the Research Coordinator to ensure research activities and project milestones are completed efficiently and on schedule
  • Provide support for multiple research projects within the Health Research Network as required
  • Participate actively in Health Research Network team meetings and contribute to collaborative planning and problem-solving
  • Perform other research-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Undergraduate degree in health sciences or related discipline
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a health research setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary research team
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with research databases, data management software, or statistical software is considered an asset
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical research standards
