Graduate Laboratory Instructors (Up to 6 Positions) - Department of Biology - Faculty of Science
$19.75 per hour plus 4% vacation pay

The Department of Biology at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications from individuals interested in instructing biology laboratories courses in the Winter 2022 Academic Semester. Graduate student currently enrolled at UPEI will be given preference. Four to six students may be hired to instruct:
Winter Courses:
Bio 2060 (Microbiology), Bio 2210 (Cell Biology), Bio 3240 (Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy), Bio 4130 (Conservation Genetics)
Courses may be taught on-line and/or in person
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include:
- demonstrating, assisting or instructing, conducting tutorials, and marking exams and assignments
- The successful applicants will be required to participate on a weekly basis for the duration of the winter semester
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology or a similar program
- Applicants must possess good communication skills
- Be WHMIS trained or be willing to take the training
Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
