Casual Correctional Officers provide security, supervision of offenders, and a variety of programs and services for offenders within a correctional centre on a rotating shift basis. The major focus of the work is the protection of society and the rehabilitation of offenders. Casuals are required to cover shifts when permanent officers are on leave or there is a requirement for additional staffing.
