Graduate Student Careers Series - Resumes and Academic CVs, session 1
Resume and CV: same thing? They aren’t!
“Resume” and “CV” (Curriculum Vitae) are words often used interchangeably, but they are actually 2 different types of documents with specific uses and different formats.
This 2-part workshop series for current UPEI graduate students introduces each document, discusses when to use one over the other, and guides graduate students in developing effective resumes and academic CVs that highlight their education, research experience, skills, accomplishments, and professional strengths.
Students are welcome to attend one or both sessions:
- 3:00-4:00 pm | Tuesday, November 24, Session 1- Resumes vs CV + Developing a Resume for Graduate Students. Presenter: Kylah Hennessey, Career Counsellor
- 3:00-4:00 pm | Tuesday December 1, Session 2 - Developing an Academic CV for Graduate Students. Presenter: Charlene VanLeeuwen, Manager, Teaching and Learning Centre
