Pumpkin Carving: Afternoon of Service at the Mount
In partnership with the UPEI Experiential Education Department, the Mount Continuing Care Community will host a group of student volunteers to help with a fun activity: pumpkin carving with the residents. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to your community, meet other students, and gain some new skills.
The Mount is a resident care facility where residents live and are supported in their daily lives. Many of the residents are seniors. As part of living at the Mount, residents can participate in a variety of fun events and activities, such as this one. By participating in this afternoon of service, you will interact with seniors, help with the event, and carve a pumpkin! You will brighten their day while gaining some experience volunteering with a local organization.
