Thank you for making Fall Open House 2026 a tremendous success!
The following message was also emailed to UPEI faculty, staff, and students on October 26, 2026.
Dear UPEI Community,
Thank you for making UPEI's Fall Open House on October 24 our biggest and most successful event yet.
It was wonderful to welcome over 600 prospective students, their families, and supporters to campus on a beautiful autumn day. The event demonstrated the strength of our community and what is possible when we come together with a shared purpose. Every Faculty was represented, the Performing Arts Centre was filled to capacity, and three overflow spaces were needed to accommodate attendees for the kick-off.
Visitors experienced the best of UPEI through engaging displays, meaningful conversations, campus tours, the Academic Support Fair, as well as the UPEI Faculty of Medicine Community Open House and Atlantic Veterinary College Open House. Our student ambassadors, volunteers, and even Pride the Panther helped bring the Panther spirit alive in buildings across the campus.
I thank all Faculties, Robertson Library, Student Supports and Services, Facilities Management, Security Services, IT Systems and Services, Ancillary Services (including the Bookstore and Residence teams), Marketing and Communications, the Recruitment and Student Engagement teams, and so many more for their hard work and dedication. I especially thank Donna Hardy Cox, Associate Vice-President, Students; Jane DiCarlo, Manager of Recruitment and First-Year Advisement; and Jonathan Hewitt, Manager of Student Culture and Community Standards, for leading the organization of this integral event.
Your collective efforts ensured a welcoming and memorable experience for every visitor.
Fall Open House is one of our most important opportunities to inspire future students. Thanks to all of you, we showcased not only the excellence of UPEI's programs and facilities, but also the supportive and vibrant community that makes UPEI so special.
Thanks again for making this a remarkable day and for helping future students see themselves as Panthers for Life!
