Charlottetown Fire Department to conduct training on UPEI campus, October 18, 2025

The following notice was also issued by email to students, staff, and faculty on October 17, 2025.

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, beginning at 8:30 am, Advanced Rescue Training will be conducting high-rise and standpipe operations training with the Charlottetown Fire Department. This training will take place on the UPEI campus at the Performing Arts Centre and Residence (PAC) building, which is located along University Avenue. Training is expected to be concluded by 6:00 pm.

On site, there will be members from Advanced Rescue Training and firefighters from Charlottetown Fire Department (and mutual-aid departments). There will be several fire apparatuses present, staged in the area around the PAC building. Please be advised this is not an active emergency.

Charlottetown Fire Department, Advanced Rescue Training, and UPEI thank the community for its support and cooperation during this important training event. Training in real buildings is a valuable experience for first responders that helps build their confidence in handling emergencies in complex locations.
