The Robertson Library at UPEI is set to host their first-ever Kitchen Party on Saturday, September 27—a fundraising event in support of the “Love Our Library” campaign as well as a celebration of the Library’s 50th anniversary. The event will be held upstairs in the Reading Room from 7:00 to 10:00 pm with live music by Roy Johnstone, Rob Drew and Harmony Wagner. There will also be a cash bar and light refreshments.

Simon Lloyd, Interim University Librarian hopes the party is a good reminder that the Robertson Library has always sought to offer a relaxed and welcoming environment on campus.

“We’re looking forward to a friendly, casual evening—a chance to enjoy some music and conversation and make ourselves at home with folks who appreciate what the library brings to UPEI and the Island,” said Lloyd.

The Robertson Library has been at the heart of the UPEI campus since 1975, supporting student success. Founded with a vision for change, the Library has continued to evolve with the times, providing outstanding resources, innovative digital spaces, and welcoming environments for all students, faculty, staff, and community users.

Admission to the event is free, but donations to the Love Our Library campaign will be gratefully accepted. Those 19 years of age and over are welcome to attend.
