UPEI Summer Reunion Weekend to be held from July 24 to 26
The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) will hold its annual Summer Reunion Weekend from Thursday, July 24, to Saturday, July 26. The weekend will feature events for alumni from Saint Dunstan’s University (SDU), Prince of Wales College (PWC), and UPEI.
Milestone classes include:
- UPEI Class of 2000–25 Years
- UPEI Class of 1995–30 Years
- UPEI Class of 1990–35 Years
- UPEI Class of 1985–40 Years
- UPEI Class of 1980–45 Years
- UPEI Class of 1975–50 Years
- UPEI Class of 1970–55 Years
- SDU Class of 1965–60 Years
- SDU Class of 1960–65 Years
“Summer Reunion is always a highlight of our year! I enjoy seeing alumni reconnecting with each other and with UPEI, especially those alumni returning to campus for the first time in many years,” said Stephen Loo, manager of alumni engagement, UPEI Department of Development and Alumni Engagement. “We look forward to hearing all the stories and to seeing all the hugs.”
The weekend will consist of a reunion golf outing at Fox Meadows Golf Course on July 24, as well as pub nights, socials, and meals. The SDU All Years’ Mass, which is open to all alumni from PWC, SDU and UPEI, will be held on Friday, July 25, at 11:00 am, in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, Steel Building, and the SDU All Years’ Luncheon will take place at 12:30 pm in the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering building. A tour of the UPEI campus for all alumni will be held at 5:00 pm the same day, starting at SDU Main Building. Following the tour, there will be a fun Milestone Reunion Celebration, starting at 6:00 pm in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre. The celebration will feature live music by Ryan Merry (BA 2010) and a comedy show by Patrick Ledwell.
Among the events on Saturday, July 26, is a PWC All Years' Reunion at Florence Simmons Performance Hall, Holland College, starting at 2:00 pm. All Prince of Wales College alumni and their guests are welcome to attend.
