On Wednesday, June 22, at 11:00 am AT (10:00 am ET), the University of Prince Edward Island will take part in an interactive online event with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who will deliver a live video address from Ukraine to students across Canada. An interactive Q&A will follow President Zelenskyy’s remarks.

The Ukrainian president is being hosted by the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. Other participants include Dr. Meric Gertler, President of University of Toronto; the Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister of Canada; and Professor Peter Loewen, Director, Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.

UPEI is one of several universities hosting watch parties (in Lecture Theatre A at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC 201N)), with participants being seen on the Zoom call by President Zelenskyy.

This is an amazing opportunity for UPEI students. Any student who would like to participate as part of the live “Zoom” audience are asked to register their attendance by emailing communications@upei.caFaculty and staff members are welcome to register, but students will be given priority in terms of seating. Faculty members who are teaching this session are encouraged to bring their class.

Anyone can watch online by visiting the Munk School’s YouTube Channel (@munkschool) to livestream the event: bit.ly/MunkSchoolTV #UofTZelenskyy
