UPEI’s Departments of Student Affairs and Recruitment and First Year Advising are excited to announce that, for the first time, the Grad Week and New Student Orientation (NSO) programs will be led by two exceptional student leaders during the 2022 cycle.

Grad Week and NSO Coordinator Nathan Lacroix is a fourth-year biology student who will graduate with his Bachelor of Science degree on Friday, May 13.

“Ever since coming to UPEI from The Bahamas in 2018, I have made it a priority to be involved on campus. I have worked as a Residence Life Advisor (RLA), followed by Clubs and Events Coordinator with the UPEI Student Union, and then as the SU's Vice President of Student Life. As the Grad Week and NSO Coordinator, I am thrilled to push my creative boundaries to the limit, helping create events that are fun, informative, and memorable!"

Inara Bhalesha will be UPEI’s first Grad Week and NSO Student Assistant.

“Hello! I am Inara Bhalesha, a Master of Business Administration (Global Leadership) candidate, originally from India. I have always been passionate about the student community and participating in student life activities. In my time here, I have worked with Shinerama, and with the UPEI Student Union as the Clubs and Events Coordinator. This new role will allow me to help enhance the student experience at UPEI, and I am excited for the opportunity to work with students to create exciting and memorable Grad Week and NSO programs!”
