Unique performance of Handel’s Messiah featured at City Cinema

Messiah/Complex, a unique film experience including the UPEI Chamber Singers, will be shown December 12 and 13 at City Cinema in Charlottetown. The 2020 film, which features a truly cross-Canada performance of Handel’s Messiah in Arabic, Dene, English, French, Inuktitut, and Southern Tutchone, is accompanied by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

The film is available to be streamed on-demand from December 12 to January 9. Those who want to see it in theatres can buy tickets for the City Cinema screenings, which take place on on Sunday, December 12, at 2 pm and Monday, December 13, at 7 pm.
