Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes a student-athlete for their achievements and dedication to their respective sport. The UPEI Panther Subway Athlete of the Week for November 29 to December 5 is Troy Lajeunesse.

Lajeunesse is a third-year arts major from Dokis, Ontario, and a forward on the UPEI men’s hockey team. He earned his second Athlete of the Week nod in as many weeks with another four-point week, scoring a goal in the Panthers’ 4–2 win over Moncton on December 1 and three assists in UPEI’s big 3–1 win over UNB on December 4.

“Troy has had a terrific first semester,” said head coach Forbes MacPherson. “He has consistently been one of our best forwards. Every single game he is making a difference for us, and this past week was no exception. He was all over the ice, involved in every zone, and contributed offensively.”
