This weekend sees the last regular season play for the Panthers before the holiday break. UPEI has just one game on the schedule: men’s hockey hosts the University of New Brunswick on Saturday at 7 pm in the MacLauchlan Arena on campus.

“This is a very big game for us,” said head coach Forbes MacPherson. “We have a very young team, and we have been focusing on the process of growing as a group. It is important that we have a really good effort to finish off the first semester.”

Saturday’s game is Campus Food Bank Night. Panther fans are invited to donate non-perishable food items for the UPEI Campus Food Bank. The Food Bank is donation-driven, open, and available for all UPEI students. All contributions are greatly appreciated.

UPEI men’s hockey has also just added a non-conference exhibition game to their schedule over the holidays. The Panthers host the McGill Redbirds on Wednesday, December 29, at 6 pm, at the Eastlink Centre, 46 Kensington Road, Charlottetown. Tickets are now on sale at the Eastlink Centre Box Office or at the MacLauchlan Arena Box Office this Saturday during the game against UNB.
