Building plans to be unveiled February 14 at public presentation

The Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Veterans Affairs and MP for Cardigan; the Honourable Dennis King, Premier of Prince Edward Island; Dr. Alaa Abd-El-Aziz, UPEI President and Vice-Chancellor; and Dr. Adam Fenech, Associate Dean of the UPEI School of Climate Change and Adaptation, invite the public to a presentation about the future building plans for UPEI’s Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation. 

The event will provide an opportunity for St. Peter’s Bay residents, UPEI community members, and other stakeholders to learn about the facility, the construction process, and timeline. It will take place on Friday, February 14, 2020, from 2:30–4:00 pm, at the St. Peter’s Complex, 1968 Cardigan Road.

UPEI’s Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation was announced on July 5, 2019, by Minister MacAulay, Premier King, and President Abd-El-Aziz. The facility will be built in St. Peter’s Bay and house research centres of excellence, the UPEI School of Climate Change and Adaptation, and the UPEI Climate Lab.
