Like humans, pets can be affected by cancer. Many cancers can be treated, and some can be cured. Dr. Pierre Amsellem, Small Animal Surgeon at the Atlantic Veterinary College, will discuss pets and cancer, including types and causes of cancer in animals; prevention and detection, new diagnostic and treatment options, goals of treatment, and quality of life issues.
