Open Educational Resources at UPEI: Self-Publishing with the RL

Posting Date(s)

Are you familiar with Open Educational Resources but want to learn more? Are you curious about the ways that you can self publish? The Robertson Library offers tools and software for students and faculty to help them write and publish their own research.

Join Meghan Landry and Kim Mears from the Robertson Library as they discuss self-publishing in the context of Open Educational Resources Week from March 5-9, 2018.

They will introduce faculty and students to Pressbooks, a software that allows users to upload or write their own material and publish it in a variety of accessible formats, such as a webbook, PDF (for print), PDF (for digital distribution), ePUB, MOBI, XML, and more. If online books are not your thing, the Library also has the capability of printing book material.

This event will take place on March 7 from 9:30 to 10:00 am in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building. Questions may be sent to Meghan Landry at mllandry@upei.ca.
