Mental Health First Aid for the UPEI Campus

The UPEI Department of Student Affairs is pleased to offer training in Mental Health First Aid as developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada. This training is open to all UPEI students, staff and faculty. Taught by one of our counsellors, “Mental Health First Aid teaches first aid skills to help someone who is developing mental health problems or is experiencing a mental health crisis. Anyone can benefit from learning mental health first aid". It is a two day program which will be offered Wednesday June 3rd and Thursday June 4th in MacDougall Hall 328 from 9am to 4pm on campus. Enrolment is capped to 20 participants and registration is required. The University of Prince Edward Island covers the course fee, and included are the training, program manual, coffee, refreshment breaks and your certificate of completion which will be mailed out to you from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
