Why UPEI?

Small class sizes

You'll have direct access to professors and instructors, creating opportunities for one-on-one mentorship. 53% of our classes have fewer than 30 students!

Balance and flexibility

We know student-athletes' schedules are demanding, and we make accommodations for practices, team meetings, and away-game travel.

Amazing support

Athletics and Recreation staff and UPEI student advisors are here to help! Whether you're choosing the right program, registering for classes, or touring our campus, they have the answers. And that one-on-one support continues once you've chosen UPEI—academic advising for every student in any program, accessibility services and confidential mental health services, and peer support are only a few services to help your student become a part of UPEI's tight-knit campus culture.

Affordability

Besides scholarships and awards for athletic achievement, the George Coles Bursary provides $14,000 to PEI students over a four-year undergraduate degree. And all students can access up to $3,000 per year of study through the UPEI Celebrating Student Achievement Awards program, and hundreds of entrance awards and program-specific scholarships.
