Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre

Dedicated to his late father Chi-Wan Young on behalf of Albert Bing-Ching Young (SDU ’60), the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre was opened in 1990, in time to host the Canada Winter Games in 1991. The Sports Centre has a two-lane walking/running track, racquetball and squash courts and a gymnasium that can accommodate basketball, volleyball, and badminton. There are locker rooms with saunas and a weight/aerobic training room. The Sports Centre offers a variety of programs to UPEI students (full-time and part-time), faculty, staff and alumni. New additions to the establishment include the Fitness Centre and the turf field. For information on the Department of Athletics and Recreation and the Sports Centre programs and facilities, please visit the Athletics and Recreation website.
