| Description: | Awarded to an athletic student entering second, third, or fourth year who is playing on a UPEI varsity hockey team and who maintained good academic standing and completed a minimum of 18 semester-hours in the previous year. The recipient is chosen by fellow players and coaches. |
| Background: | This annual scholarship was established by Grant Thornton LLP Charlottetown and Summerside offices with the support of the national partnership in memory of Harry MacLauchlan. Mr. MacLauchlan was a long time associate and friend of the PEI Grant Thornton LLP partnership. In recognition of his friendship, his leadership in business and community and his love of university hockey, Grant Thornton LLP is pleased to present a gift to UPEI in honouring the memory of Harry MacLauchlan. |
