| Description: | Awarded to the third-year Nursing student from a PEI high school with the highest academic standing in third year, having completed all the first- and second-semester core Nursing courses within one academic year and who is not already on scholarship of more than $1,000. |
| Background: | This scholarship was created by the former PEI School of Nursing and Health and Social Services. It was named after Sister Mary Gabriel who was a well-respected nurse in PEI who held numerous positions in nursing education in PEI. |
