Dr. Callum Beck, a sessional instructor in religious studies at the University of Prince Edward Island, has been awarded a $7,000 SSHRC Exchange Publication Award for his monograph, The Belfast Riot of 1847.

Dr. Pat Murphy, an assistant professor in biology at UPEI, has received a 2023 Emerging Scholar Research Grant from the Canadian Cancer Society for his research into the role of bioactive metabolites in breast cancer. The grant is valued at $600,000 over five years.
