Members of the campus community joined Dr. Greg Keefe, UPEI’s interim president and vice-chancellor, and UPEI student Antwaun Rolle to raise the Flag of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at UPEI in observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3. 

| Atlantic Veterinary College

Veterinary students from the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) won five awards at the 2023 American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Animal Welfare Assessment Contest.

Twenty groups of fourth-year UPEI nursing students in the Nursing and Population Health 4010 course have been working with agencies across PEI this semester to create innovative projects and programs to promote health and wellness. The students will present their work to their community agency partners and guests at a population health project showcase on December 5, 2023, from 2:00–4:00 pm in McMillan Hall in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

The Honourable Diane Griffin, alumna, honorary degree recipient, and retired senator, has been unanimously elected as the 10th Chancellor of the University of Prince Edward Island for a four-year term.

Dr. Greg Keefe, UPEI’s interim president and vice-chancellor, and UPEI student Antwaun Rolle invite members of the campus community to the first annual raising of the Flag of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 12:00 pm (noon) at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building.

UPEI Board of Governors Chair Shannon MacDonald provided an update to the campus community after chairing a historic meeting of the Board of Governors on November 28.

The UPEI Men’s Hockey and the UPEI Track and Field teams are on the road during the week of November 27–December 3.
