Director's Message


Welcome to the Centre for Life-Long Learning.

Never has the concept of life-long learning been more critical than at this time of high economic activity in an everchanging workplace.

The University of Prince Edward Island is committed to supporting labour force training and education, thereby further extending its range of services beyond traditional degree programs. The Centre for Life-Long Learning develops, delivers, and is involved in a wide range of adult education activities, including professional development certificate programs and short courses; the ProfitLearn series of short courses for small businesses; summer institutes and language programs; online continuing education courses; and customized training for businesses.

The Centre for Life-Long Learning supports academic departments and faculty members to extend their teaching and share their research, by taking care of logistics and promotion, and by creating a welcoming place at UPEI for all learners.

Centre for Conflict Resolution Studies

The Centre for Conflict Resolution Studies provides a skills-based 210 hour certificate in conflict resolution (medication, facilitation, negotiation) with a final assessment. Check out our listing of upcoming courses in Charlottetown and Moncton.
