We are justifiably proud of our excellent programs and facilities, and our faculty and staff—the people that support and encourage each student's success.

You can be confident that providing a positive personal university experience, and the best academic preparation for a future career for your daughter or son, is our top priority.

UPEI is a great university for our children. Our daughter is in Music Education, and our son is in Science. They both have small class sizes, allowing for good interaction with the professors and classmates. They have both received encouragement to excel in their chosen fields.

Being small does not mean the university is not innovative. As a Medical Radiation Technologist I know UPEI was one of the first universities in the country to provide a degree in Applied Science for my profession. As a parent I appreciate that UPEI prides itself on preparing their students for tomorrow.

As a teacher of grade 12 mathematics, I am asked by parents to recommend a university for their high-achieving math students. I recommend UPEI for their undergraduate degree. The professors are excellent and the awards and graduate scholarships won by its students speak for themselves. As I tell the parents, “I stand by this recommendation—my own son studies Math at UPEI.”

We also like to take advantage of the many opportunities to hear the high standard of music performed by faculty and students at the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, and are delighted with the quality of music education our daughter receives. We couldn’t be happier with all that UPEI has to offer.
