Prospective Residents

The Residence Experience—Friends for Life

Living in residence means getting involved, making new friends, participating in exciting residence events, and having lots of fun. Become a member of Hall Council or a Residence Life Advisor. We have various residence options; and, whichever you choose, you'll be at home with your friends. Because residence students tend to immerse themselves in campus life, they are more likely to achieve academic success by taking advantage of accessible support services such as free tutoring for first-year students, and time management and study skills workshops. Our team is available to help facilitate academic success, social interaction, and personal growth.

There are many advantages to living in residence and convenience is one of them. You are close to classes, the library, and sports centre. There are no monthly bills, no hunting down landlords, no need to buy furniture, no commuting in bad weather, or worrying about gas and heating prices. Focus on school—we look after the rest.

Exciting Meal Plan Options

Food services provides all-you-care-to-eat meal plans with unlimited access until 9:00 pm. There are lots of healthy food choices and our students find that campus meal plans save them time and money. Leave the shopping, cooking, dishes, and cleaning to us. Eat what you want, when you want.

With improved facilities, committed Residence Life Advisors, and access to numerous in-house student support programs, parents of students in residence can be assured that our residences provide safe active living and learning environments which go well beyond the obvious conveniences of living right on campus. Since this may be your son or daughter's first experience living away from home, you may be interested in, or reassured by, reading specific information on UPEI's residence services, safeguards, policies and procedures.
