The Department of Applied Human Sciences is seeking an applicant to assist with a research project designed to explore the impact of gender on patient and provider perceptions of innovation at the point of care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage key stakeholders to maximize study recruitment
  • Clean and organize quantitative survey data
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis of collected quantitative data
  • Conduct qualitative data analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of audiovisual materials related to study findings
  • Assist in the preparation of research report(s) and/or manuscripts for publication
  • Collaborate virtually with research assistant(s) external to UPEI
  • Prepare and deliver oral and poster presentations for either/both professional & lay audiences
  • Other tasks and duties as required

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current enrollment as a student at UPEI. Enrolment in a health professions program is an asset.
  • Research experience in quantitative and/or qualitative methods is an asset.
  • Demonstrated marketing and communication (oral and written) skills. Education in marketing or communications will be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, trouble shoot and manage time in an independent work setting.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian health care system will be considered an asset.

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
