UPEI is currently developing a professional Master’s program in Cleantech Leadership. This program will help develop the capacity needed to support PEI’s transition to net zero energy by 2030 and net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. The professional graduate program will be part of a larger initiative within the Cleantech Academy, a joint initiative of UPEI, Holland College, and the PEI Government. The Cleantech Academy and its Learning & Innovation Centre will work to foster a community dedicated to innovation and collaboration through post-secondary education and industry connections.

Reporting to the Associate Vice-President Research and Dean of Graduate Studies (AVPR/DGS), this position will provide administrative support for the program development team as it works to plan, develop, and implement the new program, which will be launched in September 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the work of the AVPR/DGS, the Cleantech Program Manager, and the Cleantech Curriculum Working Group
  • Provide logistics and planning support including scheduling in-person and virtual meetings, booking rooms, catering, coordinating agendas, planning travel, etc.
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes and action items
  • Organize and track documents related to curriculum and program development, as well as approval processes
  • Attending to general accounting duties, including submitting invoices for payment
  • Assisting with the development and upkeep of promotional materials
  • Prepare all required forms for curriculum review and approval
  • Act as the central point-of-contact for program stakeholders and liaise with various university departments
  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful completion of a recognized post-secondary program in a related area and/or a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with university processes and the roles of the various units on campus is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven abilities in document management and control
  • Experience in creating promotional materials would be an asset
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing equity, diversity and inclusion and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication (both oral and written) skills
  • An ability to work independently and as a member of a diverse team, exercising a high degree of judgment, professionalism, adaptability, confidentiality, and positivity in their work
  • Strong computer skills (including Windows, Microsoft, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs, SharePoint, Zoom, etc.)
