Salary:

$72,067 to $79,900 per annum

The Office of the President seeks an experienced, highly organized, motivated person with positive attitude and excellent communication skills as Administrative Assistant. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a wide range of administrative support to the Office of the President, the Senate and the Board of Governors pertaining to financial, personnel, and administrative functions
  • Assist in the arrangement of meetings, provide administrative support for meetings and record minutes
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Liaise with members of the Board of Governors and Senate
  • Other projects and duties as required 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of specialized post-secondary education/training in a related office studies program
  • Minimum five (5) years previous experience in related work and/or a combination of education and related work experience
  • Prior experience working with policies and procedures would be an asset
  • Prior experience working with a governing body would be an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge and skills in advanced word processing, electronic information systems, spreadsheet, and database applications
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational abilities, initiative, and flexibility
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet various deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a clear understanding of the need for discretion and confidentiality
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
