The Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering is looking to hire a research student assistant for a project that investigates thermal engineering systems as part of a 4th edition book, Advanced Heat Transfer. A literature review of the latest state of knowledge in the field will be performed. Systems will be selected, and examples analyzed for thermal design problems in the book.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • New online materials will be developed for enhancements to an eBook style
  • Interactive features make reading more engaging, including but not limited to, audio, quizzes, video, data visualization (charts, graphs available in an accessible way), and interactive problems and solutions
  • The student will conduct independent studies and a final report will be submitted at the end of the project

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered engineering student preferably in a graduate program
  • Well-organized, mature self-starter
  • Well-demonstrated communication skills including oral, written, and electronic
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
