The University of Prince Edward Ancillary Services Department is seeking 10 qualified students to assist with cleaning, packing, storing, and inventorying all summer housekeeping supplies and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Laundry & Inventory Attendants will be responsible for:

  • Laundry services such as washing, drying, folding, and packing linens
  • Proper packing of supplies and equipment
  • Inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong housekeeping skills and/or experience in the tourism/hospitality industry
  • Ability to perform physical work, must be able to lift 25 lbs/11.5 kgs
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals (training provided)
  • Positive attitude, energetic, courteous, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and some night shifts

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
