On July 26, 2021, the Associate Vice-President of Students and Registrar issued a message with important information for students who plan to travel to PEI for the Fall 2021 semester.

The Government of Canada’s New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF) 2020 Exploration competition recently awarded support to 117 research projects across Canada. Among the list is a project led by Dr. Xiuquan (Xander) Wang, an associate professor in UPEI’s School of Climate Change and Adaptation.

In celebration of the PEI Pride Festival, July 18–25, UPEI has joined the PEI government, municipalities, and other organizations across PEI in flying the Pride flag for the week at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building and at UPEI Alumni Canada Games Place.

The UPEI community was saddened to hear about the passing of SDU alumnus William “Billy” Mulligan, who died on June 25 at the age of 81 in Saint John, NB, after suffering heart complications.

The PEI Symphony is presenting a unique concert called The Orchestra Deconstructed on Sunday, July 11, at 3 pm, during the Indian River Festival.

Dr. Greg Keefe, Dean of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI, has been extended for a three-year term effective July 1, 2021.

Dr. Anne Marie Carey will assume the role of Associate Dean Academic and Student Affairs at the Atlantic Veterinary College, effective July 1, 2021.
